We facilitate learning through interactions with equines

Located minutes from the Chequamegon National Forest at RR Horse Haven, UP THERE, LLC., is a unique service that offers participants the opportunity to learn through interactions with equines. Horses and donkeys provide us with feedback through their interactions with us; in a way that humans won’t. There is no judgment, no filter, and no assumptions made about who we are. There is only honesty. UP THERE, LLC offers wilderness-based Equine Assisted Services, which we refer to as Equine Facilitated Learning. Equine Facilitated Learning is a way to learn about how you interact with yourself, others, and your environment through interactions with horses. Equine Facilitated Learning is an example of an equine assisted activity, as described by the work done in the unifying terminology research project. You can learn more here. It’s a way to learn skills to improve relationships (including your relationship with yourself), additionally, participants have also reported increased life satisfaction, decreased stress, increased coping skills, and increased communication skills. Results do vary and, while this is not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment, the benefits of this service can support participants in their overall life goals.
